Meanwhile, several parishes in north and central Louisiana have the lowest gas prices. East Carroll Parish currently has the lowest average price at about $3.09 per gallon. Other lower-price areas include DeSoto, Winn, St. Martin, and Evangeline parishes, where gas ranges from about $3.15 to $3.17.

For drivers in Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Prairieville, and surrounding communities, Louisiana still has some of the lowest gas prices in the country. However, experts warn that global oil supply problems could push prices higher.
